First awards in the 10th Beijing “Rejuvenate China” Wushu Contest, team awards.
At 10 on 25th of Dec. the melody of athlete march was heard in the Haidian Gymnasium, one handsome boy named Yaoyu jumped to the champion platform, holding the cup highly above his head. This is the 9th time to achieve the champion cup in “Beijing Teenagers’ Wushu Contest”
Wushu contest this year attracted 47 delegate team and more than 500 participants which was the biggest one in 12 sessions, new requirements was there in the contest rules. Early in the summer vocation, our Wushu team went to Shenlongshan Martial Arts School in Taian city Shandong Province. They trained hard, arranged difficult action for 4 months in their holidays after school, background music made wushu more powerful and beautiful in their performance. At the beginning, there was collective item of our school, an orderly loudmouthed fistic show fascinated all the audiences for the perfect combination of power and beauty in cooperation with the strong & soft fan dance, the judgments gave an unanimous high score of 8.5 to the performers—Donglibin, Yezipeng, Caoqizhe and other 8 boys. Later, Mimeng, Chenjiao and their teammate behaved bravely and vigorously in individual item, finally they got 17 first awards and 52 places in the 33 individual items in senior group, gained honors for our school.
